Robotic Palletising Machine

Robotic palletising machines are advanced, automated systems designed for the precise and flexible stacking of finished goods onto a pallet. Utilising a multi-axis articulated robot, they are built for high-output, reliable, and versatile handling of cases, bags, tubs, or other secondary packaging.

These machines are the essential, high-flexibility solution for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and consumer goods industries. They are used to automatically build stable, secure, and perfectly stacked pallet loads, often with the ability to handle complex patterns or products from multiple production lines simultaneously.

By integrating intelligent software with robust robotic hardware, these systems provide an incredibly efficient and adaptable way to automate end-of-line processes, replacing strenuous manual labour and preparing goods for transport, warehousing, and bulk distribution.

Why Choose Robotic Palletising machines

Robotic palletising is the definitive solution for flexible, high-speed automation, offering unmatched versatility, reliability, and precision in handling.

  • Superior Safety & Labour Optimisation This is a core purpose. Manual pallet stacking is slow, expensive, and a primary cause of repetitive strain injuries. A robotic palletiser fully automates this heavy, repetitive task, reallocating valuable staff to higher-skilled roles and drastically improving workplace safety.

  • Ultimate Flexibility & Multi-Line Handling A single robotic cell can be programmed to handle products from multiple production lines at once, picking and placing different SKUs onto separate pallets. This versatility, combined with continuous, high-speed operation, eliminates bottlenecks even in complex, mixed-product manufacturing environments.

  • Precision Handling & Perfect Load Quality The articulated arm, paired with a custom gripper, provides precise and gentle handling, reducing product damage. The robot builds geometrically perfect, stable pallet patterns every time, ensuring load integrity, optimising pallet space, and improving the efficiency of stretch wrapping and automated warehousing.

Key Features of Robotic Palletising machines

blue cog

Product Infeed & Collation System

Before stacking, products (cases, bags) arrive on a conveyor and are automatically oriented, turned, and grouped. The robot's control system identifies the product and selects the correct 'layer pattern' for the pallet build.

Multi-Axis Articulated Robot

The core of the system is a 4, 5, or 6-axis industrial robot. This articulated arm provides the speed, reach, and flexibility to pick products from an infeed conveyor and precisely place them anywhere on the pallet, following a complex pre-programmed pattern.

Bespoke End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT)

The robot arm is fitted with a custom-designed gripper. This can be a vacuum gripper (for cases/boxes), a clamp gripper (for tubs/crates), or a fork/bag gripper (for sacks). Many tools can also be designed to automatically handle slip sheets and pallets.

Automatic Pallet Dispenser & Discharge

The robotic cell automatically feeds empty pallets from a stack (a pallet magazine) into the loading position. Once a pallet is full, it is automatically moved onto an 'outfeed' or 'discharge' conveyor, often integrating directly with an automatic stretch wrapper.

Intuitive Pattern-Forming Software

Modern robotic palletisers are controlled via an intuitive touchscreen (HMI). This software allows operators to easily select, edit, or even graphically build new, complex pallet patterns for different SKUs without requiring any complex, line-by-line robot programming.
