End loader cartoning machines, also commonly known as side-load or horizontal cartoners, are one of the most widely used automated packaging systems. They are designed to pack products by gently loading them from the side into a pre-erected, horizontally-oriented carton.
The machine’s in-line process is highly efficient: it automatically erects a flat carton blank, collates the product (or products), and then a mechanical “pusher” arm smoothly slides the items into the open end of the carton. The end flaps are then folded and sealed.

A smart, flighted (or 'bucket') conveyor that receives product from the primary line. It automatically times, stacks, or collates items, presenting the complete product load to the pusher station.
The defining feature of the machine. A servo-driven or mechanical pusher arm gently slides the complete product collation horizontally from the infeed conveyor into the open end of the waiting carton.
A high-capacity magazine holds a large stack of flat, pre-glued carton blanks. A vacuum pick-and-place arm or rotary feeder selects a blank, positively erects it, and places it into the main transport chain.
The machine can be configured with the two most common closing methods: Tuck-in Flaps (a simple, re-closable, and glue-free solution) or a Hot-Melt Glue System for a stronger, more secure, and tamper-evident seal.
