Packaging Support FAQs
Yes. We understand that downtime is costly for any production facility. Our network of field service engineers covers the entirety of the UK and Ireland, allowing us to provide a rapid response to emergency breakdowns. Our goal is to get your packaging line back into operation as quickly as possible to minimise your losses.
Our preventative maintenance contracts are designed to catch wear and tear before it leads to a failure. A standard service visit includes a comprehensive mechanical and electrical health check, timing adjustments, lubrication of drive components, and the cleaning of sealing jaws. We also provide a detailed report on any parts that may require replacement in the near future.
Whilst we specialise in the Record and Record-General range, our engineers have extensive experience with a wide variety of Horizontal Flow Wrappers (HFFS) and other packaging machinery. Depending on the make and model, we can often provide servicing, technical advice, and even bespoke upgrades or refurbished spare parts.
For most high-volume production environments, we recommend a professional service at least once or twice a year. However, this depends on your daily throughput and the environment (e.g., wash-down food environments vs. dry hardware packing). Regular servicing is the best way to maintain our 99.6% uptime guarantee.
Absolutely. We believe that well-trained operators are the first line of defence against machine downtime. During a service visit or new installation, our engineers can provide comprehensive on-site training for your team, covering daily maintenance routines, quick-changeover techniques, and basic troubleshooting.
Yes. We maintain a significant stock of critical spare parts at our UK facility in Manchester. This ensures that we can offer fast dispatch for next-day delivery on most items, reducing the wait time compared to manufacturers who ship exclusively from overseas.
